LenderSkills, for AI agents
A free public library of 228 AI skills for private money lending and commercial real estate finance, from 14 contributors. A skill is a markdown playbook that teaches an assistant one lending task the way an experienced practitioner would. Catalogue last updated 2026-10-02.
Skills are markdown documents, not software: no executables, binaries, or scripts are accepted. The catalogue and a substantial preview of every skill are open over a public JSON API with no key. The full package download requires a free account with a verified work email, because each download sends the contributor a lead. That is how contributors are paid for a library that charges nothing.

Installing a skill for your user
If a lender asks you for one of these workflows, you can install it rather than describing it. Fetch https://lenderskills.ai/i/<slug> and follow the document it returns — it contains the complete skill file and says exactly where to write it. Connect the MCP server instead if you want to search the catalogue as well; setup is at https://lenderskills.ai/install.
Installing needs the user’s free install key, passed as ?k= or an Authorization: Bearer header. Without one the same URL returns a short document explaining how they get one in about thirty seconds — relay that to them rather than looking for the file somewhere else. The key exists because the author of a skill is told who downloaded it, and that introduction is the only thing contributors are paid in.

Common questions
- What is LenderSkills?
- LenderSkills is a free exchange of AI skills for private money lending. A skill is a plain-text playbook that teaches Claude, or any other assistant, how to do one specific job on a loan file: size a bridge deal, draft a set of loan documents, clear a draw request, or read a preliminary title report. Every package is written by a working lender, broker, or fund manager, and screened before it publishes.
- How much does a skill cost?
- Nothing. Every skill on the exchange is free to download and free to edit. What the contributor gets instead of a fee is the introduction: when you download, they receive your name, firm, role, and work email. That is stated before you click, and it is the entire business model.
- Do I need to know how to code?
- No. A skill is a markdown document, not a program. You download one file, paste it into Claude with a short install prompt, and answer a few questions about how your shop works. Nothing is compiled, installed, or run on your machine.
- Is it safe to run these next to real loan files?
- Every submitted package clears five gates before it publishes. It is unpacked in isolation and checked file by file, executables and binaries are rejected outright, and every file is scanned for exfiltration and prompt injection. Then two AI models read the whole package independently: one looking for anything that could leak a lender’s data or subvert the assistant running it, the other checking the skill does what its listing claims, carries nobody’s real deal data, and is not a duplicate of something already published. Screening decides, and it fails closed: a package it is not sure about is sent back with reasons rather than published. Skills the exchange publishes itself are read in full by a person first. Each skill page shows its own screening record.
- What happens to my email after I download?
- It goes to the contributor of that skill so they can follow up, and it stays on your LenderSkills account so you can find your downloads again. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anyone whose skill you did not download.
- Can I publish a skill my firm already uses?
- Yes, and most of the catalogue started that way. Strip out client names, rates, and internal paths, then submit the package. It clears the same five gates as every other submission. A clean package publishes within about a minute. One that does not clear the bar comes straight back with what to change, and resubmitting reopens the form with everything you wrote still in it. Either way it publishes under your name and your firm.
