AI Search Optimization

Get your lending firm cited when borrowers ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for a lender

0 downloads on LenderSkills

Free · v1.0.0

Install it in one line — paste a single command into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and it writes the skill into your project.

Free, and about thirty seconds: a work email and a six-digit code.

Screened

Downloading shares your name, firm, role, and email with Corey Haines. That introduction is what keeps every skill here free.

What this skill does

More borrowers and brokers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI answers "who does bridge loans in [STATE]?" instead of scrolling search results. This skill makes a lender's or broker's site the kind of source those tools quote — clear loan-program pages, answerable questions, and the outside mentions that get a firm recommended.

What it does

  • Audits whether AI tools can reach, read and quote your site
  • Rewrites key pages into answer-shaped passages AI tools pick up
  • Explains the difference between being cited and being recommended, and how to earn both
  • Covers platform-by-platform ranking factors and how volatile each format is
  • Suggests where outside mentions (directories, trade press, reviews) move the needle

When to use it

  • Prospects say they found you through ChatGPT — or never mention you
  • Competitors appear in AI answers and you don't
  • Rewriting loan-program or FAQ pages
  • After an SEO audit, to cover AI search too

What to have ready

  • Your website address and main loan programs
  • The questions borrowers and brokers ask before they call
  • Two or three competitors that show up in AI answers
  • Any AI-search tracking data, if you have it

How to use it

  1. Download it with the button above. You'll sign in with a work email — that's how the creator knows who is using their skill.
  2. Copy the install prompt from the "Run it in Claude" box, and paste it into Claude along with the file. Claude installs the skill, fills in your firm's details where the file has [BRACKETED] placeholders, and runs a quick test with you.
  3. Then just ask in plain English. Claude picks the skill up on its own when a request matches it. Anything it still needs, it asks you for — it won't invent a number.

"Check whether ChatGPT and Perplexity would cite [OUR WEBSITE] for 'fix-and-flip lender in [CITY]' and rewrite our [LOAN PROGRAM] page so they would."

What you get back

A prioritized list of site and content changes, rewritten passages for your key pages, and an off-site plan for earning mentions.

Good to know

  • Output quality tracks input quality. A missing figure is flagged as missing — it is never estimated to fill a gap.
  • Every draft is a starting point for your own review, not a finished decision.
  • Runs anywhere Claude does: the Claude app, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code.
  • AI tools may repeat what your site says long after it changes, so keep rates, terms and eligibility on these pages current or leave them off. The author suggests a machine-readable pricing file; for a lender that is a published rate sheet, so treat it as advertising: for consumer-purpose loans, stating a rate or terms such as a payment amount triggers Truth in Lending (Regulation Z) disclosure rules, and many states require license disclosures in ads — have compliance review it first. Pair with SEO Audit and Schema Markup.

Source & credit

Imported from Corey Haines's open-source marketingskills library (MIT). Author: Corey Haines — https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills. LenderSkills folded the author's reference files into the single installable file, replaced a sample email address with neutral placeholders so the package passes automated screening, added a note that a third-party command-line tool should be run only by a person after vetting, and appended a legal disclaimer; the author's content is otherwise unmodified. Full credit to the author. Corey Haines did not submit this listing and does not endorse it — the original is free at the link above.

Legal disclaimer

This skill drafts; it does not decide. Its output is not legal, tax, accounting, appraisal, or investment advice, and using it creates no attorney-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship. Nothing it produces is a commitment to lend or an offer to sell a security. Verify every number, date, citation, and conclusion against the source documents, and have a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction review the work before you rely on it or send it to a borrower, investor, counterparty, or regulator. Laws, rates, and market data change. The final work product is yours.

When the user wants to optimize content for AI search engines, get cited by LLMs, or appear in AI-generated answers. Changes made by LenderSkills: Minimal wording changes only, listed here. The upstream references/ folder
(agent-readiness.md, citations-vs-recommendations.md, content-patterns.md, content-types.md, format-volatility.md, okf.md, platform-ranking-factors.md, youtube-ai-citations.md) is appended at the end of this file as "Reference:" sections, because
the marketplace installs a skill as one file; links to those files now point at the appended
sections. Cross-references to skills renamed in this import were updated to the new names, and links into the upstream tools/ folder and to other upstream skills (not part of this package) were reduced to plain text. To pass the marketplace's automated screening, one string was reworded: a sample sales email address became [SALES-EMAIL]. For safety, the Is Agentic tool is now pointed to its web version first, with a note that its npx command-line version should only be run by a person after vetting, never installed by an agent on its own. Evals were not included. A legal disclaimer is appended at the end of the file.
