Free, and about thirty seconds: a work email and a six-digit code.

Screened

Downloading shares your name, firm, role, and email with Corey Haines. That introduction is what keeps every skill here free.

What this skill does

Gets a lending firm into the trade press, local business journals and real estate investing podcasts — finding story angles in your deals and market data, pitching the right journalists and hosts, preparing for interviews, and reacting quickly when news breaks in your market.

What it does

  • Finds newsworthy angles in your deals, data and market view
  • Builds a scored list of journalists, outlets and podcasts
  • Drafts pitches, press releases and a press page
  • Prepares you for podcast and media interviews
  • Plans how to comment quickly on breaking market news

When to use it

  • Launching a fund, loan program or new market
  • Hitting a milestone worth announcing
  • Wanting to be seen as the local expert
  • Pitching yourself as a podcast guest

What to have ready

  • What you want to be known for
  • Recent milestones, deals or market data you can share
  • Target outlets or audiences
  • Who will speak for the firm

How to use it

  1. Download it with the button above. You'll sign in with a work email — that's how the creator knows who is using their skill.
  2. Copy the install prompt from the "Run it in Claude" box, and paste it into Claude along with the file. Claude installs the skill, fills in your firm's details where the file has [BRACKETED] placeholders, and runs a quick test with you.
  3. Then just ask in plain English. Claude picks the skill up on its own when a request matches it. Anything it still needs, it asks you for — it won't invent a number.

"Find three story angles in our [MILESTONE OR DATA] and pitch them to real estate trade press and investor podcasts in [REGION]."

What you get back

Story angles, a media target list, pitch and press-release drafts, and interview prep notes.

Good to know

  • Output quality tracks input quality. A missing figure is flagged as missing — it is never estimated to fill a gap.
  • Every draft is a starting point for your own review, not a finished decision.
  • Runs anywhere Claude does: the Claude app, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code.
  • Get the borrower's written consent before naming them or their deal. If a fund is involved, statements about returns can be a general solicitation under securities rules — clear them with counsel. Journalist research is done by hand on public pages, within each site's terms. Have counsel or compliance review any press release that states rates, terms or returns.

Source & credit

Imported from Corey Haines's open-source marketingskills library (MIT). Author: Corey Haines — https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills. LenderSkills folded the author's reference files into the single installable file, replaced sample email addresses with neutral placeholders so the package passes automated screening, replaced an automated-browser research step with manual research of public pages, and appended a legal disclaimer; the author's content is otherwise unmodified. Full credit to the author. Corey Haines did not submit this listing and does not endorse it — the original is free at the link above.

Legal disclaimer

This skill drafts; it does not decide. Its output is not legal, tax, accounting, appraisal, or investment advice, and using it creates no attorney-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship. Nothing it produces is a commitment to lend or an offer to sell a security. Verify every number, date, citation, and conclusion against the source documents, and have a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction review the work before you rely on it or send it to a borrower, investor, counterparty, or regulator. Laws, rates, and market data change. The final work product is yours.
