Schema Markup

Add structured data so search engines and AI tools understand your lending firm

0 downloads on LenderSkills

Free · v1.0.0

Install it in one line — paste a single command into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and it writes the skill into your project.

Free, and about thirty seconds: a work email and a six-digit code.

Screened

Downloading shares your name, firm, role, and email with Corey Haines. That introduction is what keeps every skill here free.

What this skill does

Adds the behind-the-scenes code (schema markup) that tells search engines and AI tools exactly what a page is — your firm, locations, loan programs, FAQs, articles and team — so they can show richer results where Google still supports them and quote you accurately.

What it does

  • Picks the right schema types for each page
  • Writes ready-to-paste JSON-LD code
  • Audits existing markup for errors
  • Covers organization, local business, FAQ, article and breadcrumb markup
  • Explains how to test it

When to use it

  • Launching or rebuilding your website
  • An SEO audit flagged missing structured data
  • Adding FAQs or new location pages
  • Search results show little about your firm

What to have ready

  • The pages to mark up
  • Your firm details — name, locations, contact placeholders
  • Your site platform

How to use it

  1. Download it with the button above. You'll sign in with a work email — that's how the creator knows who is using their skill.
  2. Copy the install prompt from the "Run it in Claude" box, and paste it into Claude along with the file. Claude installs the skill, fills in your firm's details where the file has [BRACKETED] placeholders, and runs a quick test with you.
  3. Then just ask in plain English. Claude picks the skill up on its own when a request matches it. Anything it still needs, it asks you for — it won't invent a number.

"Write schema markup for our homepage, [LOAN PROGRAM] page and [CITY] office page at [OUR WEBSITE]."

What you get back

Validated JSON-LD code for each page and instructions for adding and testing it.

Good to know

  • Output quality tracks input quality. A missing figure is flagged as missing — it is never estimated to fill a gap.
  • Every draft is a starting point for your own review, not a finished decision.
  • Runs anywhere Claude does: the Claude app, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code.
  • Mark up only what is visibly on the page, and only real reviews — Google does not show star ratings for reviews a business collects about itself on its own site. Some rich results the author describes (FAQ, how-to, site search box) have since been limited or retired by Google; the skill now says so. Pair with SEO Audit and AI Search Optimization.

Source & credit

Imported from Corey Haines's open-source marketingskills library (MIT). Author: Corey Haines — https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills. LenderSkills folded the author's reference files into the single installable file, replaced a sample phone number with neutral placeholders so the package passes automated screening, added a short accuracy note about rich results Google has since limited, and appended a legal disclaimer; the author's content is otherwise unmodified. Full credit to the author. Corey Haines did not submit this listing and does not endorse it — the original is free at the link above.

Legal disclaimer

This skill drafts; it does not decide. Its output is not legal, tax, accounting, appraisal, or investment advice, and using it creates no attorney-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship. Nothing it produces is a commitment to lend or an offer to sell a security. Verify every number, date, citation, and conclusion against the source documents, and have a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction review the work before you rely on it or send it to a borrower, investor, counterparty, or regulator. Laws, rates, and market data change. The final work product is yours.

schema-markup
What it does
When the user wants to add, fix, or optimize schema markup and structured data on their site. Also use when the user mentions "schema markup," "structured data," "JSON-LD," "rich snippets," "schema.org," "FAQ schema," "product schema," "review schema," "breadcrumb schema," "Google rich results," "knowledge panel," "star ratings in search," or "add structured data." Use this whenever someone wants their pages to show enhanced results in Google. For broader SEO issues, see seo-audit. For AI search optimization, see ai-seo.

Changes made by LenderSkills: Minimal wording changes only, listed here. The upstream references/ folder
(schema-examples.md) is appended at the end of this file as "Reference:" sections, because
the marketplace installs a skill as one file; links to those files now point at the appended
sections. Published as "schema-markup" (upstream "schema") so the name reads clearly in a lending catalogue. Cross-references to skills renamed in this import were updated to the new names, and links into the upstream tools/ folder and to other upstream skills (not part of this package) were reduced to plain text. To pass the marketplace's automated screening, one string was reworded: a sample phone number in two JSON-LD examples became [PHONE]. For accuracy, one short note was added after the Common Schema Types table saying that Google has since limited FAQ rich results, retired HowTo rich results and retired the sitelinks search box, so the skill should not promise those displays. Evals were not included. A legal disclaimer is appended at the end of the file.
