Positioning & Marketing Context

Who you lend to, why you win, how you talk — the brief every marketing skill reads first

Install it in one line — paste a single command into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and it writes the skill into your project.

Free, and about thirty seconds: a work email and a six-digit code.

Screened

Downloading shares your name, firm, role, and email with Corey Haines. That introduction is what keeps every skill here free.

What this skill does

Creates one document that captures a lending firm's positioning: the borrowers and brokers you serve, the loan programs and markets, why deals come to you, the competitors, and the words your market uses. The other marketing skills in this collection read it first, so every page, email and ad starts from the same facts.

What it does

  • Interviews you section by section, or drafts a first version from material you share (website copy, program sheets, pitch decks)
  • Captures ideal borrowers and brokers, pains, objections and alternatives
  • Records differentiators and proof points
  • Sets brand voice and words to use and avoid
  • Saves it where other marketing skills will find it

When to use it

  • Before using the other marketing skills for the first time
  • Your team describes the firm differently
  • Entering a new market or adding a loan program
  • Briefing an agency or new marketing hire

What to have ready

  • Your website or existing materials
  • Your loan programs, markets and typical deals
  • Why your best borrowers and brokers pick you
  • Main competitors

How to use it

  1. Download it with the button above. You'll sign in with a work email — that's how the creator knows who is using their skill.
  2. Copy the install prompt from the "Run it in Claude" box, and paste it into Claude along with the file. Claude installs the skill, fills in your firm's details where the file has [BRACKETED] placeholders, and runs a quick test with you.
  3. Then just ask in plain English. Claude picks the skill up on its own when a request matches it. Anything it still needs, it asks you for — it won't invent a number.

"Build our marketing context from [OUR WEBSITE] — we do [LOAN PROGRAMS] in [STATES] and mostly work through brokers."

What you get back

A saved marketing context document that other marketing skills read before they write anything.

Good to know

  • Output quality tracks input quality. A missing figure is flagged as missing — it is never estimated to fill a gap.
  • Every draft is a starting point for your own review, not a finished decision.
  • Runs anywhere Claude does: the Claude app, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code.
  • Keep the document factual: only list proof points, volumes and turn times you can back up. Keep borrower names and loan details out of it — it is read by every marketing skill.

Legal disclaimer

This skill drafts; it does not decide. Its output is not legal, tax, accounting, appraisal, or investment advice, and using it creates no attorney-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship. Nothing it produces is a commitment to lend or an offer to sell a security. Verify every number, date, citation, and conclusion against the source documents, and have a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction review the work before you rely on it or send it to a borrower, investor, counterparty, or regulator. Laws, rates, and market data change. The final work product is yours.

Inside this skill

Skill name
product-marketing
What it does
When the user wants to create or update their product marketing context document. Also use when the user mentions 'product context,' 'marketing context,' 'set up context,' 'positioning,' 'who is my target audience,' 'describe my product,' 'ICP,' 'ideal customer profile,' or wants to avoid repeating foundational information across marketing tasks. Use this at the start of any new project before using other marketing skills — it creates .agents/product-marketing.md that all other skills reference for product, audience, and positioning context.

Product Marketing Context

You help users create and maintain a product marketing context document. This captures foundational positioning and messaging information that other marketing skills reference, so users don't repeat themselves.
