What this plugin is

Anthropic's own finance and accounting plugin, listed here so a lending shop can run its own books the way it runs its deals. Eight skills covering month-end close, journal entries, reconciliation, financial statements, variance analysis, and SOX 404 testing — plus the slash commands that drive them.

This is not a lending skill. It is the back-office half of running a lender or a fund: closing the month, tying the GL to the subledger, producing statements a board will read, and standing behind the numbers when an auditor asks.

What it does

  • Month-end close — a close calendar sequenced by day, with dependencies mapped so you can see what a late item blocks
  • Journal entries — accruals, depreciation, prepaids, payroll, and revenue, drafted with balanced debits and credits and the support written up
  • Reconciliation — GL to subledger, bank, and intercompany, with every reconciling item categorised, aged, and escalated past your threshold
  • Financial statements — P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow in GAAP presentation, with comparison columns and material variances already flagged
  • Variance analysis — variances decomposed into price/volume and rate/mix drivers, with the narrative written and a waterfall bridging the periods
  • SOX 404 testing — sample selections with defensible sizing, testing workpapers, and deficiency classification

What to have ready

  • Trial balance or GL detail for the period you are working
  • The supporting statements behind the accounts you are reconciling
  • Your materiality thresholds and approval levels, if you have them written down
  • For SOX work: the control descriptions and the population a sample comes from

How to use it

  1. Redeem your access code above. You'll sign in with a work email — that's how we know who is using it.
  2. Download the package and unzip it. It is a standard Claude Code plugin: drop it into your plugins directory, or paste the folder into Claude and ask it to install the plugin.
  3. Then just ask in plain English. "Book our December AP accrual." "Reconcile operating cash for last month." "Why did Q4 opex move?" Claude picks the right skill up on its own.

"Build our close calendar for December — we target a day-5 close."

What you get back

Posting-ready journal entries, completed reconciliations with the unexplained residual stated plainly, GAAP-presented statements with flux commentary, variance bridges with the drivers quantified, and SOX workpapers in the form an external auditor expects. Where a figure is missing it is flagged as missing — never estimated to fill the gap.

Good to know

  • The eight member skills are each free on their own — they are linked below. The plugin is the package that ships them together with the commands and the connector setup.
  • It works best wired to your own data. The package includes MCP configuration for BigQuery, Slack, Gmail, and Google Calendar, and CONNECTORS.md explains how to point it at an ERP or warehouse. Without those you can paste data in or upload files.
  • Runs anywhere Claude does: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or Cowork — Anthropic built it primarily for Cowork.

A plugin bundles skills that each cleared the same gates as everything else on the exchange. Nothing gets a pass for being paid.
